Paediatric First Aid Courses
QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (QCF) (2 units)
This qualification is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a childcare setting as it has been specifically designed to fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and childminders
(as defined within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within the Child Care Register guide). 
The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations and paediatric illness, injuries and emergencies. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in situations which can arise when looking after children.
The content of the Paediatric First Aid course includes: Roles & Responsibilities of a Paediatric First Aider; Incident and Casualty Assessment; CPR (including adults, child and baby); Recovery Position; Choking; Anaphylaxis; Shock; External Bleeding; Bites and Stings; Ear, Nose and Eye Conditions; Fractures, Dislocations, Sprains and Strains; Chronic Medical Conditions; Sudden Illness; Head and Spine Injuries; Body Temperatures; Electric Shock; Burns and Scalds; and Poisonous Substances.
The duration of this course is 12 hours.

QA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (QCF) (1 unit)
The aim of the qualification is to enable Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in situations which can arise when looking after children.
This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid to children (including babies) when dealing with an emergency situation.
The content of the Emergency Paediatric First Aid course includes:  The roles and responsibilities of an emergency paediatric first aider; Assessing an emergency situation; Dealing with an unresponsive infant or child; Recovery Position; CPR; Choking; Anaphylaxis; Seizures; Wounds and bleeding; Shock; and Accident recording.
The duration of this course is 6 hours.

Family First Aid Awareness Course
This course is designed for individuals who would like to learn first aid skills to be able to deal with emergencies, accidents and illnesses. It is ideal for: parents, carers, grandparents and anyone else who cares for babies and children; carers of elderly relatives or those who have medical conditions; or anyone else who would like to learn first aid.
The duration of this course is 3 hours.
The cost per learner is £25.00.
 
Children's First Aid Awareness
This course is designed for children. Children will learn basic first aid skills. This is suitable for schools, colleges, brownies, scouts etc.
The duration of this course is 3 hours.
• The cost per child is £15.00 for private bookings.
• For schools and clubs we can train a class of children for £125. All the children will receive a free First Aid Book which they can take home and share with family and friends.

QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) (2 units)

QA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid At Work (QCF) (1 unit)
The duration of course 6 hours
The cost per learner £65.00
The aim of these qualifications is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of the first aider.
Please note that Paediatric First Aid is not covered in the First Aid at Work courses.
 
QA Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (QCF) (1 unit)
The aim of the qualification is to enable Learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED). Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective CPR and use of an AED in emergency situations.
The duration of this course is 4 hours.
In-house fee £995 included in this price is the defibrillator, battery, adult pads, children's pads, carry bag, and resuscitation pack and training of up to 8 learners and the supply of your own defibrillator.
 
QA Level 2 Award In Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (QCF) (1 uinit) and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (QAR) (1 unit)
The aim of the qualification is to enable Learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with the use of an Automated External Defibrillation (AED). Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe use of the AED in emergency situations.
The duration of this course is 4 hours.

In-house fee £995 included in this price is the defibrillator, battery, adult pads, children's pads, carry bag, and resuscitation pack and training of up to 8 learners and the supply of your own defibrillator.
 
QA Level 2 Award In Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (QCF) (1 unit)
 
Safe Use of an EpiPen
This CPD training course is for people who want to know how to safely use an EpiPen. This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work for the management of anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency.
The duration of this course is 1-2 hours.
The cost per learner is £25.00.
 
QA Level 2 Award in Activity/Sports First Aid (QCF) (2 units)
The qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide First Aid when dealing with an emergency situation whilst undertaking activities, such as fitness activities, sports, swimming, hiking, rock climbing, etc.
The duration of this course is 12 hours contact teaching time and 4 hours home study (total 16 hours).
