We offer the following Safeguarding courses:

Safeguarding Children: A Shared Responsibility (for practitioners)
This course will ensure that you are meeting the EYFS Safeguarding and Welfare Requirement that 'Providers must train all staff to understand their safeguarding policy and procedures, and ensure that all staff have up to date knowledge of safeguarding issues. Training made available by the provider must enable staff to identify signs of possible abuse and neglect at the earliest opportunity, and to respond in a timely and appropriate way'.
The course covers the requirements of the EYFS, including: Signs and symptoms of possible abuse and neglect; How to respond in a timely and appropriate way to concerns; What to do if they have concerns about children in order to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, including those who are suffering, or at risk of suffering, significant harm; What will happen once they have informed someone about those concerns; Information and background about the legislative framework within which children’s welfare is safeguarded and promoted; Serious Case Reviews; What defines a 'Child in Need'; Definition of Maltreatment; Vulnerable groups, including babies and disabled children; Sharing Information, including how to support children and families share worries; Barriers to children sharing worries; Multi-agency Roles and Responsibilities; Referrals process; and Social Care Roles & Responsibilities.
The duration of this course is 3 hours.
The cost per learner is £40.00.
 
Safeguarding for designated officers
This course will ensure that you are meeting the EYFS Safeguarding and Welfare Requirement that ‘The lead practitioner must attend a child protection training course that enables them to identify, understand and respond appropriately to signs of possible abuse and neglect’.
The duration of this course is 6 hours.
